Hey, my name is Emily Buchanan. I'm in the eighth grade at Avery Middle. I will be 15 years old the 15th of this month. :) I am so excited to be going to high school next year. I love math, math is my best subject. I think once you get a hang of the concept of it, its pretty easy. Mr. Masters is my favorite teacher I have had in all my school years. I also enjoy doing science experiments and I read every now and then. In my free time in the summer I love to go swimming and play outside with my 2 year old neice, Layla and my 1 year old nephew, Braydon. They are so funny and always smiling. I have a 15 year old boxer, Lucy Lu, and a 3 year old mini winnie dog, Spice.
About My favorite book :)
I just here recently finished this book called Once Upon a Marigold By: Jean Ferris. This book is romantic and has parts of fantasy. This book is very interesting. Christian grows up to be a young teen and he falls in love with the princess across the river. For a while Christian and Marigold communicate through messages carried by a pigeon, and one day he decided to take a job at her castle. Durning all this happening, Princess Marigold's evil mother is trying to marry her off which was hard to do because if Marigold touched any body she could tell what people were thinking. That scared many poeple bt her father and Christian. Christian is cast into the dungeon by the jealous guard, but the King comes to his aid. While in the dungeon Christian invents a flying machine, and he trys to save Marigold from marriage to someone else. And it doesn't go as planed but at the end Christian finds out that he is royalty himself. The evil queen is vanquished, and he and Marigold got married at last. Our 8th grade students at Avery Middle School has created an Animoto slide in the memories of Avery County's 100th celebration. We all picked a topic and went for it. All these vidoes are very creative and alot of thought has been put into every single one on here. Avery County is a big part of all our lives and mean so much to us in so many ways... You can learn alot from the histories of Avery. Theres historic facts you can learn about just by watching these as well as ghost storys, ect. My Animoto slide show is all about Avery County's seasons and what all fun is involved with each one of them... I hope ya'll enjoy the slide shows and learn alot as well as have fun....
